Intelius Inc: Setting an Example

Many companies today have all been about the business side of things. There are also some companies that tend to forget that they have neighboring communities that need their help. This is the downside of focusing too much on the “business/corporate-side of things.”

One company that has thrived on helping communities is Intelius Inc. Activities for the benefit of those who are in need (children, teenagers, families, etc) has always been a priority for the company. Last July 2009, together with its partner non-profit organization Hopelink, Intelius sponsored free movie showings at Bellevue’s Downtown Park for families. In this program, the company hosted eight free screenings of the latest movies like “Kung Fu Panda,” “Hotel for Dogs,” and “Madagascar 2,” among others.

The company’s president and CEO, Naveen Jain, expressed his delight in getting the chance to host an important event that fosters community building with family and friends. The India-born IT leader urged people from the community to join the Intelius-sponsored activity that doubled as a project that aimed to help neighbors who were in need. The movies were shown for free, but whatever the activity was able to raise, like food, were given to various Eastside community organizations. Some of the nonprofit organizations that benefited from the event were Overlake Service League and the Eastside Domestic Violence Program.

Recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the Washington area and in the United States, Intelius is an IT company based in Bellevue, Washington. It is also considered as one of the most generous companies in the US today; donating tons of money to various charitable advocacies like education, health care, while also providing shelter for the homeless.

Together with its management and employees, Intelius has prided itself in its charitable works and hopes to set an example of giving back for other companies to follow in the future.
